Get a second opinion before you call it done

The agent that built it is the worst one to check it.

I had 13 agents rebuild sync for my notes app and it came back with 0 errors. 1,364 tests passing, lint clean, builds green, so by every number I had it was done.

It wasn’t. The last review found that a note over 256 KB would get dropped, and sync treats a missing note as a deleted one. It would have wiped that note from the server and every device.

The habit

Have something that didn’t write the code review it. It only knows what the files actually do, not what the builder meant to do.

Then treat every finding as a claim to check. A good finding names what to try, what should happen and what actually happens. “This might be buggy” isn’t a finding yet, so ask for the exact steps.

A clean review doesn’t prove it works either. It just means nothing turned up in that pass, which is why you still run the checks.

Try it

Review all changed and new files since my baseline, including files not committed yet. Do not edit anything. For each issue, give the steps to reproduce it, expected versus actual result, the file, and your evidence. Keep real bugs separate from ideas.
